Fly Away w/ Oscar, Peter and Carmen

More than a dozen designers including Oscar de la Renta, Peter Som and Carmen Marc Valvo have created a set of one-off kites for Fashion Center Business Improvement District’s first annual arts festival. The kites are up for auction to support local not-for-profit organizations and will be on display until November 2nd at 1411 Broadway in the heart of the fashion district. Profits from the auction will be donated to Materials for the Arts, which provides art supplies to the New York City public school system, and Free Arts NYC, which provides art outlets for abused and neglected children.
